Knitted vascular prosthesis with collagen Ra K incompressible

The vascular prosthesis is made of polyester silk using a specially developed knitting technique. The prosthesis is impregnated with collagen, which facilitates the healing of the vascular prosthesis and ensures the impermeability of the wall at the time of implantation. The prosthesis is wrapped on the outside with a polyethylene yarn, which allows the prosthesis to better withstand external pressure.

The prosthesis is suitable for extraanatomical bypasses and bridging of large joints.

Description of main product features

High resistance

The prosthesis wall is reinforced with a yarn that can be easily removed at the ends.

Immediate use

The collagen layer allows the prosthesis to be used without the need for any modification before implantation.

Easy handling

A colored guideline that makes it easier for the doctor to orientate the surgical wound and manipulate the prosthesis during implantation.

Simple adjustment

The prosthesis can be cut to the desired shape at the ends with scissors, the edges do not fray and thus allow the creation of a fine anastomosis.

Parameters

Permeability is less than
5 ml.cm-2.min-1.
Free from formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde.
The prosthesis is available in diameters
from 6 to 9 mm and lengths from 10 to 70 cm.

Indications

The knitted vascular prosthesis of the abovementioned type is indicated for all arterial reconstructions at levels corresponding to the used diameter in relation to the expected flow. Considering its mechanical resistance to changes in its circular lumen shape caused by external pressure or bending in its course through the prosthesis canal, its application is suitable especially in the field of extraanatomical reconstructions and in reconstructions that bypass the big joints regions.

Notice

The prosthesis should be implanted when the patient is fully heparinized.
